DEVICE SECURITY – AS IMPORTANT AS NETWORK SECURITY
Network security aims to, as the name suggests, secure the network itself from unwanted use or abuse. Traditional solutions which have been around for many decades try to keep adversaries out and generally trust users on the inside.

In our view, this creates several critical security gaps, including the risk posed by internal users, and all IT-, and OT-networks should therefore be seen as insecure to a varying degree.

To mitigate this general deficiency, each device on the network needs to be protected individually.
Three components underpin solid device security:
Hide the assets from
everyone/everything

Use digital identities
for man & machine

Enforce strict
access control
